SUUQ ONLINE (U) LTD (“SUUQ”, “we”, “our” or “us”) operates the SUUQ Online e-commerce website (suuqonlineug.com) and the SUUQ Online Store Android & iOS applications (together, the “Service”). We are committed to genuine, transparent and affordable commerce. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Data we collect

2.1 Customer & account data

  • Name, email, phone number, delivery addresses, password-hash
  • Order history, cart contents, refunds & support tickets

2.2 Vendor & supplier data

  • Business name, contact person, trading licence, KYC uploads, payout Mobile-Money / bank details

2.3 Device & usage data

  • Device model, OS version, app version, crash logs, diagnostic events
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging push-token (for order updates & promos; disable in Settings)
  • Google Advertising ID (GAID) if you consent to personalised ads
  • App Set ID, IP address and cookies for fraud-prevention and analytics

3. How and why we use your data

  • Contract – process orders, payments & deliveries; vendor payouts
  • Legitimate interest – improve performance, prevent fraud, measure ad effectiveness
  • Consent – promotional emails, personalised ads, push notifications
  • Legal obligation – tax & anti-money-laundering record-keeping

4. Advertising & analytics

With your consent we show third-party ads and share the Advertising ID with selected ad networks to serve relevant ads and cap frequency. Opt-out anytime in Android Settings ▸ Privacy ▸ Ads.

5. Push notifications

Order status, security alerts and (with permission) promotions are delivered via Firebase Cloud Messaging. The token is random and used only for this purpose.

6. Sharing of information

  • Couriers & logistics ↔ delivery address & phone
  • Payment processors ↔ transaction references only
  • Vendors you buy from ↔ relevant order details
  • Analytics & crash reporting (Google Firebase) ↔ device & usage data

We do not sell or rent your personal data.

7. Account & data deletion

Delete your account anytime in App ▸ Profile ▸ Account ▸ Delete or by emailing us. We erase or anonymise personal data within 30 days, except order & tax records kept for 7 years.

8. Your rights

You may access, correct, export, restrict, object to or request deletion of your data. Contact privacy@suuqonlineug.com. We may verify your identity first.

9. Security

All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS); passwords are salted & hashed (bcrypt); vendor KYC docs are restricted to authorised staff.

10. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

11. International transfers

Data may be processed on servers in the EU or US under GDPR-compliant standard contractual clauses.

We will post any changes on this page and, for material updates, notify you in-app or by email.
